Story
Somewhere in Greece, a hen accidentally makes its way out of an industrial farm and embarks on a journey full of adventures, eventually finding a “home” in an old Greek restaurant with a dark business running behind it.
Acting
The hen is a natural-born actor and does exactly what it should — being curious, eating, and laying eggs. Alongside Yannis Kokiasmenos and the other actors, the movie isn’t just about the hen.
Camera/Sound
The camera follows every movement of the hen, while a mix of classic and modern music rounds out a fun but also very dramatic and realistic film.
Conclusion
Be aware: this movie is not for children, at least not younger ones. The first part, about the “getaway,” is quite fun and entertaining, but the second part of the movie becomes quite dramatic and also contains some human abysses, which can be shocking and disturbing, but at the same time very realistic.
